Eating less? Then each meal needs to contain more.
Smaller portions mean less protein, less fibre, less of everything. Our meals are built around protein density: none of the 53 measured dishes has less than 30 g of protein per portion.

Why this matters
Eating less means getting less of everything
If you start eating smaller portions, you don't just eat fewer calories. Protein, fibre and vitamins go down at the same time. That is exactly when it matters what is in that smaller portion.
Where this question comes from
Demand for smaller, protein-rich meals is growing. Part of that comes from the rise of GLP-1 medication: people who use it eat less, and then look for food that gives them more per bite. We make no statements about medication and give no nutritional advice — for that, go to your doctor or dietitian. What we can show is what is in our meals.
What we were already making
SportMeals has existed since 2015 and makes meals for people who pay attention to their protein. This is not a new product line that still has to be developed: it's already in the freezer, with 50 dishes and three portion sizes.
What we can back up
How much protein you need depends on you
Protein needs scale with body weight: someone heavier needs more than someone lighter. Which number applies to you is something you decide with your doctor or dietitian — we make no statement on that. What we can show is what one meal contributes: 30 to 55 g, with 39 g as the median. Compare that to your number, not ours.
Protein and muscle mass
Protein contributes to the maintenance of muscle mass. That is the wording European legislation allows for this — not a promise about what will happen to your body.
A varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are the basis; protein works within that. What counts is what you get across the day, not from one meal — one of our portions adds 30 to 55 g to that.
What's on the label, and what isn't
Each tray lists calories, protein, carbs, fat, saturated fat, fibre and salt, plus the full list of ingredients and the allergens. Vitamins and minerals are not listed: they aren't analysed per dish for these meals, so we don't put down numbers we can't support.
How a tray is built
No side dish just filling the space. Every part has a job.
-
Protein: 30 to 55 g
Of the 53 dishes whose specs record protein per 100 g, not a single one falls below 30 g per portion. The median is 39 g.
-
Vegetables you recognise
Broccoli, mangetout, green beans. You can see what's in it before you heat it up. On average 3.6 g of fibre per meal.
-
Carbs with a purpose
Rice, pasta or sweet potato, matched to the dish — not just to fill the tray.
-
Just ingredients
Ginger, garlic, soy sauce. Freshly prepared in the Netherlands and frozen straight away, with the full list on the label.
Sealed, frozen and fully labelled
The tray is hermetically sealed — 186 by 136 millimetres — and then frozen straight away. Not because it's left over, but immediately. That's what makes the difference in what's still in it half a year later.
The sleeve carries the full label: ingredients, nutritional values and allergens. That includes the salt, which averages 3.5 grams across the range, while the Consumentenbond uses 2 grams. It's simply stated there.

Three sizes, all three high in protein
| Portion | Calories | Protein | Who it's for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 350 g | 355 to 630 kcal | 33 to 40 g | Lunch or a lighter evening meal |
| 425 g | 410 to 604 kcal | 38 to 42 g | Regular evening meal |
| 570 g | 724 to 826 kcal | 49 to 55 g | Big appetite or heavy training day |
Smaller portion, 33 to 40 grams of protein. That's what it's built for.
Your freezer as a backup
You're not buying for this week. You're buying for the evenings you don't see coming: the day that runs over, the training session that ended up later, the groceries that never got done. Then something good is ready and waiting, instead of a delivery app.
That's possible because our meals keep for up to a year at −18 °C. For comparison: Fit Preps lasts three months, Fuel Your Body at least three months. Once defrosted, a tray stays good in the fridge for another 48 hours. You heat it in six minutes at 800 watts straight from the freezer, stirring halfway.
Frozen at your door, or we fix it
Dry ice at −80 °C keeps your order frozen for up to 48 hours, and Trunkrs delivers the same evening. If something still arrives thawed, send us a photo and we'll sort it out. You don't have to send anything back.

What customers say
Frequently asked questions
How much protein is in a meal?
Between 30 and 55 grams per portion, depending on the dish and portion size. The middle meal has 39 grams. The exact amount is on every label.
Are there smaller portions too?
Yes, three sizes. The smallest is 350 grams (lunch or a lighter dinner) with 355 to 630 kcal and 33 to 40 grams of protein. The other two are 425 and 570 grams.
Is everything on the label?
Yes. Calories, protein, carbs, fat, fibre and salt per tray, plus the full list of ingredients and the allergens.
How much protein do I need myself?
That depends on things like your body weight, and it's not for us to put a number on it. Ask your doctor or dietitian. What one of our meals contributes is shown above and on every label.
Do the meals contain vitamins and minerals?
We don't analyse these for each dish, so we don't give any figures for them. The label shows what has been determined: calories, protein, carbs, fat, saturated fat, fibre and salt, plus the full list of ingredients.
Can I get advice on what I should eat?
No, we deliberately don't do that. We make the meals and put the nutritional values on them. Talk to your doctor or dietitian about what suits you.
Am I tied to a subscription?
No. You order each time separately. There is no subscription and no notice period.
How long do the meals keep?
Store frozen below −18 °C. The best-before date is on every tray.
